Your Crew

The R&D team is the internally funded development department at Beyond Gravity Linköping. The department consists of a tightly-knit team that strongly resonates with Beyond Gravity’s core values: Curious, Passionate, and Together. In the R&D team, we work to empower and support each other while building a diverse group with combined strengths. We strive to be proactive, to fail early rather than late in our projects, and to continuously learn, iterate, and improve!

Today, the R&D team in Linköping consists of a smaller but highly effective and multidisciplinary core team whose mission is to execute strategic development initiatives for the Business Unit Launcher Sweden.

As a member of the team, you are encouraged to develop and broaden your skills beyond your primary discipline and to support activities that may lie outside your primary role. This is to effectively cover for each other and ensure that we have continuous progress and high-quality output.

Your Mission

• Overall technical leader for the assigned project(s) with the responsibility that, from a technical perspective, the daily work progresses according to plan in the project(s).

• Create and maintain requirement specifications and verification matrices.

• Lead and perform trade-off analyses with support from the project team.

• Create and develop development and test plans.

• Collaborate with the team to ensure high quality and innovation in the design work.

• Support the project team with technical solutions and insights during the development cycle.

• Assist the line manager with resource planning and project timelines.

Your Story

• You have an engineering degree in mechanical engineering, engineering physics, aerospace, or a similar field and 5 years of professional experience in a relevant industry.

• You communicate fluently in both Swedish and English, in speech and writing.

• You are a communicative team player with a “we can do this” attitude and thrive in flexible and iterative environments.

• You have a broad technical understanding and are comfortable starting from a blank requirement specification and trusting your engineering instincts.

• You are meticulous and structured, with a focus on documentation and decisions made in projects.

• You are solution-oriented and see the value in collaboration to achieve common goals.

• You have the ability to balance details and a holistic perspective in your work.
